Principal’s Message
Dear
BIS families!
Welcome
to the 2020-21 school year! I anticipate
that this will be one of the most interesting school years yet. Over the past few months I have learned
quickly that you can’t take anything for granted, which is why I’m so blessed
to be working at such an amazing school that always tries to do what is best
for kids. At BIS we really do exercise
flexible thinking on a daily basis.
While the exact specifics for many things that will occur this school
year has yet to be determined, I know that it will be the best it can be
because of the hard working staff, parents, and community working together.
I
am very proud and humbled to serve as the principal of such an outstanding
school that boasts a wonderful team of professionals. This year will mark my 21st year
in Worcester County Public Schools.
Before coming to BIS, I had the privilege of teaching chemistry at
Stephen Decatur High School for 12 years.
I also had the opportunity to serve as an assistant principal for 6
years at SDHS.
Our
commitment at Berlin Intermediate School is to create a safe, yet enjoyable,
intellectually challenging learning environment for your child to prepare them
for a successful future. BIS holds high
standards for academic progress and responsible citizenship. The staff understands the impact that they
play in each child’s life and it is a responsibility that they do not take
lightly. They strive each and every day
to bring out the best in every student.
I am looking forward to what I know
will be a successful and rewarding school year!
My sincere hope is that you take time to enjoy each and everyday that
you get to spend at BIS. The two years
that you will be here will go faster than you think, but I know that you will
have a lot of fun along this journey!
Proud
to be a junior seahawk!
